Virtual Arabic Keyboard · كيبورد عربي
Click or tap to type Arabic. Large keys, English labels on every key, nothing to install.
When a virtual keyboard helps
- No Arabic keyboard installed — on a work, school, library or hotel computer.
- Touchscreens and tablets — large keys are easy to hit with a finger or stylus.
- Mouse-only or accessibility setups — every key, including vowel marks, can be clicked.
- Learning the layout — see which English key produces each Arabic letter.
Tips
- Press ⇧ once to show vowel marks (fatha, damma, kasra, sukun, shadda) and Arabic punctuation; press it again to return.
- Hold ⌫ to delete quickly. It removes one character at a time, so a vowel mark can be removed without its letter.
- Click anywhere in the text to move the cursor — new letters are inserted there, not only at the end.
- Use 123 / ١٢٣ to switch the number row between Western and Arabic-Indic digits.
Prefer typing on your own keyboard? The Arabic Keyboard maps your keys to Arabic automatically. To clean up or count text you have already written, use the Arabic Text Editor.
Frequently asked questions
What is a virtual Arabic keyboard?
It is an Arabic keyboard drawn on the screen. You click or tap the letters instead of pressing physical keys, so you can type Arabic on any computer, tablet or phone without changing its settings.
How is this different from the Arabic Keyboard page?
This version is built for clicking and tapping: the keys are larger and always show the English key at the same position. Your physical keyboard types normally until you switch on “Physical keys type Arabic”. The main Arabic Keyboard page is set up for fast typing on your own keyboard.
Can I use it on a shared or public computer?
Yes. Nothing is installed and no settings are changed. Your text stays in the browser tab and disappears when you close it.
How can I learn the Arabic keyboard layout?
Each key shows the English letter in the same position. Switch on “Physical keys type Arabic” and type on your own keyboard: the matching on-screen key lights up, so you can see where every Arabic letter lives.
