Your local Hijri date differs?

If your country or mosque follows a different moon sighting, shift dates by a day or two. Saved only in this browser; official dates are not changed.

How these times are calculated

Times are calculated for Kuwait City (29.38°, 47.98°) with the method used by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs: Kuwait (Fajr 18°, Isha 17.5°). Asr uses the standard (Shafi'i) shadow length.

Imsak is shown 10 minutes before Fajr, as on Gulf imsakiyas. It is a precaution: the fast itself begins at Fajr (the dawn adhan). Iftar is at Maghrib (sunset).

Calculated times can differ by a minute or two from your local mosque or from an announcement for a specific district. When they differ, follow the adhan and the official timetable of your country.

When does Ramadan start?

The dates are an Umm al-Qura reference. Kuwait announces the start of Ramadan through its own moon-sighting authority, so the first day can differ by a day.

If the start is announced a day earlier or later, use “Your local Hijri date differs?” below the table: the whole timetable shifts by a day and the times stay correct for each date.

Frequently asked questions

What time is iftar in Kuwait City on the first day of Ramadan?

On the expected first day (Monday, February 8, 2027) iftar (Maghrib) in Kuwait City is at 5:32 pm, and Imsak is at 5:02 am. Each day's times are in the table above.

What is the difference between Imsak and Fajr?

Fajr is the start of dawn and the start of the fast. Imsak is a precautionary time about 10 minutes earlier, so that suhoor is finished before Fajr.

Why is the 30th day marked with an asterisk?

Ramadan has 29 or 30 days depending on the moon sighting at the end of the month. The 30th row only applies if the month completes 30 days; otherwise that day is Eid al-Fitr.

Can I print this timetable?

Yes. Use the Print button: the printout shows all prayer times for the whole month on one page.
